Very pleasant, nice atmosphere and...

Liked: The location is great, with a period style.
Disliked: Needs some tlc, a lick of paint here and there and the fixtures and fittings need some maintenance. Room cleaning could be improved.

Clean and great location.

Liked: Location and friendly staff. Easy to get into Newbury town and great if you play golf. Sadly our golf clubs were in storage so we couldn't take advantage. Perhaps clubs to hire would be a good option if that could be offered.
Disliked: The room was way to hot, 3 of us in one room meant it was really difficult to sleep without having a window that opened fully. Obviously due to safety reasons our window only opened a few inches. The bathroom and room were basic but what you would expect for a 3*

Liked: The hotel is absolutely gorgeous best one we have ever been too. Got historical background which we absolutely loved. Breakfast always hit and we had a lovely meal too. Loved the peaceful setting. Reception staff very helpful.
Disliked: Nothing

The Summer House was fabulous,...

Liked: Fantastic room in the Summer House with your own indoor sitting area overlooking the grounds. Stayed for business but felt like I was on holiday! Short 5 min walk to a very interesting historic castle.
Disliked: That I only stayed one night.
