My first and hopefully last...
Liked: The hotel is in a good location. Both train and underground stations are a couple of minutes away, and good restaurants and cafes are around the corner. The staff are welcoming, but!
Disliked: the giant balcony window/door, which doesn't close well! And the curtains too!I wonder how the room would be in winter! We left our stuff for a couple of hours and went to a cocroch on one of the beds. It was late. We couldn't reach staff by phone. We had to go to another building (where better rooms with higher prices )and who left the reception to vaccum it! We were then given bedsheets to change the beds upon our request! No cleaning staff is available late at night! We were extremely tired but couldn't sleep worried to find another one! Luckily, we booked this quadrable for one night!I would never consider such low star rating hotels.

Fine for a zero frills...
Liked: The room and bedding were clean and there was a fan to temper the heat of the unseasonably hot weather in London. Good number of power points, so it was possible to charge appliances while enjoying the breeze from the aforementioned fan. Thankfully the toilet was set in the diagonal so my knees did not touch the wall while I sat on the porcelain throne (for reference, I am only 154cm tall, and my legs are not disproportionately long). The location was also a positive - very easy to reach by foot from Paddington station.
Disliked: The 24 hour reception is located in their principal property, not at the location of the room I booked. This information was not available until after booking my non-refundable room. As a solo female traveller I had looked specifically for accommodation with 24 hour reception - I was very annoyed to find out that I had to walk from one location to the next in the middle of the night after checking in. The ‘toiletries provided’ are literally a container of multi use soap mounted on the shower wall, toilet paper and a sanitary disposal bag. There was no foot towel so the bathroom floor became nice and slippery after showering. The cistern for the toilet is mounted precariously, almost at ceiling height with the lid ajar- I felt like I was flirting with some kind of Nikelodean practical joke each time I flushed. Thankfully, a few stray drips of water was as bad as it got. The bed was quite small (as mentioned before, I’m not a large human).

Perfect location but needs updating...
Liked: Location was great for Hyde park events east 10 mins walk.
Disliked: High floor with no lift. In a different building to reception. Staff had no understanding of assisting with luggage all those flights of stairs with 6 bags! Tiny bathroom for 6 persons. No air room was too hot and extremely uncomfortable. Window broken so couldn’t open ! Fan broken in room

Very good
Liked: The location is nice; there's lots to see in the Paddington area. Lots of bakeries and a food hall 3 min away (walking)
Disliked: No elevators, so it wasn't fun carrying my heavy suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. Also, no AC.
