A warm welcome from friendly...

Liked: The reception and bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially good with kids. This made such a difference to our stay, thank you. The room was furnished to a high standard and the beds were comfortable. The room was clean and there was a free drink left for each person. There was ample free car parking and the food in the bar was tasty. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The location was convenient for a stop-off from the M6, however the wooded grounds were lovely and made one feel “away from the hustle and bustle”. We will use the swimming pool next time we stay.
Disliked: The bar meals were very expensive (e.g. £16 for the vegan sandwich).

Liked: Breakfast was nice. Bit hectic at busy times! Very good value for money. Meal in the evening in the restaurant was good too. The room was nice. Would definitely stay again. Staff were helpful and friendly, check in and out was easy.

Liked: Spacious room, good breakfast and good facilities.
Disliked: Bathroom could have been cleaner, had lots of water stains and areas that could do with a scrub. A mini bar would have been good since its a 4 star hotel.

Exceptional

Liked: Stayed here as a couple for the bank holiday weekend. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless. It had all the facilities we needed. The receptionists were lovely and very welcoming. The bathroom was fantastic, great decor and provided everything we needed. The beds were also super comfortable.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was 10/10

Liked: Staff were great.I had 3 children with me and the staff couldn’t help enough. pool staff, bar staff and reception staff all very helpful. my 5 year old didn’t know there was chocolate muffins available for breakfast so when she found out her sister had one I feared for WW3, the kind gentlemen in reception got her a chocolate muffin which my my journey home a lot easier !

Certainly would not recommend. Unpleasant...

Disliked: Breakfast had a nice selection if you got there at the right time. It certainly was not worth the £16.50 per person per night price tag though. Aircon in the rooms didn’t work and at this time of year it was hardly bareable. For the price paid the room was incredibly small! A lot of walking and stairs to access the room. Beds were very uncomfortable. No plug sockets next to the bed, had to request an extension lead to plug in from one side of the room to the other to ensure my partner could use his sleep apnea machine. The cleanliness of the room was certainly not great, all the skirting boards and corners of the room were thick with dust and cobwebs. The side table, telly table and chair were covered in dust. 2 of the 4 towels were dirty with black marks!!!
