Suitable for the one night...

Liked: The hotel is well situated and has parking near by
Disliked: There was no robes to be able to use for the spa in our room. Breakfast was not offered on arrival and no other information was given to me just my room key not sure if this was because i had stayed previously.

Liked: Quietness of the bedrooms no banging doors spa good.
Disliked: Had to wait at reception for a while when arriving and leaving only one member of staff on.

Disliked: When we returned to our room at about 11pm it was extremely warm so we turned down the thermostat to 17 degrees and went to bed. Unfortunately it didn't get any cooler making it very hard to sleep. The pillows were very uncomfortable. They felt like they were rolled up blankets in a pillow case so we resorted to sleeping without a pillow. I had approximately 4 hours sleep due to the heat in the room so was very tired. In the morning we realised that the thermostat was not switched on so we appreciate that we should have switched it on the previous evening. However it never occurred to us that it was not on as we were able to adjust the temperature. We went for breakfast and were shown to a table. We brought some food to the table and left it there while we fetched some juice. On our return one of the waitresses was wiping around the plates of food with a cloth which didn't look very hygienic. She then took the cutlery and serviettes away and replaced them with some more while we sat there waiting. That was the last we saw of any staff actually working at the tables. They allowed plates and dishes to mount up so the table was very full. The staff spent most of the time chatting at the bar area.The food in the restaurant was nicely presented and tasted good. As we checked out the lady at the reception asked if had enjoyed our stay. I mentioned that I'd had hardly any sleep as it was so hot in the room but had seen in the morning that the thermostat was not on and she said flippantly that she would make a note of that. Her manner made us think that she couldn't have cared less!I am sorry to have to write a review like this. Please do not think that I am a serial complainer because I have never done this before but I felt that above points needed to be raised so that it doesn't happen again. Thank you.

Great value and location

Liked: Breakfast was amazing, very comfy bed.
Disliked: The bedroom was too warm,the heating was not on, and we had the window open.
