Liked: Room was clean and serviced daily, location was near city centre with plenty of eating places nearby, breakfast was good with plenty of options, staff were very nice and pleasant

Chester

Liked: Loved the pool. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service. Bar restaurant was really welcoming and relaxed. Comfortable beds. Great location short walk to the centre.
Disliked: Rooms were slightly care worn. Generally a good level of cleaning but there were a couple of large cobwebs in the room.

Disliked: Slight disappointment with pool opening times especially for children. Said nor until 9am then said only small pool at 9.30 so mot able to swim properly.

Liked: Didn’t really have an opportunity to explore Chester as only there for one night but was very happy with the hotel and we had dinner at the hotel which was superb as was the breakfast.
Disliked: Thought the hotel room was a little dated compared to the public areas of the hotel which were very plush

Liked: Central to the town, free parking.
Disliked: Rooms a little dated, could do with a make over.

Excellent location and lovely hotel.

Liked: The location was perfect for visiting Chester & for our onward journey to Snowdonia. We arrived a couple of hours early and our room was ready which was a real bonus. The reception ladies were excellent & gave us loads of info on visiting Chester. Our room was very spacious & clean & quiet although our bed wasn’t made up on our second night & we had to ask for extra tea, coffee & milk. Great to have a mini fridge & free water. Would have preferred to have just a shower & not have to clamber into the bath but this seems to be still be the case in most hotels. Lovely towels & shower products though. Air conditioning was really effective. Huge television too.
Disliked: We used the pool on both afternoons of our stay & it was great to have pool towels provided. The leisure staff were very friendly & helpful. However, the pool surroundings are in real need of an update & to be honest the ladies changing & shower area was dirty. This part of the hotel was rather disappointing.

Passable

Liked: Breakfast good, location good
Disliked: Being told we couldn't have our room until 7 pm as Hull City needed late checkout. Apparently some customers are more important than others.

Exceptional

Liked: Meg on the front desk couldn't help us enough. Staff in the restaurant were friendly, and the food was delicious, with a great selection for breakfast. The pool was lovely and warm so we could enjoy a family swim in clean surroundings, also staff were really helpful at the pool. Great location and very comfortable stay.
