Crown & Mitre Hotel

Very good

Liked: Beautiful historical building with large bedrooms & lovely dining areas
Disliked: Not much choice for vegan guests in terms of food in the restaurant but Oat & Soya Milk were freely available for drinks.

Superb

Liked: The staff were very nice. The breakfast area was very clean and tidy.
Disliked: The car park only has limited spaces. Only one space for a disabled vehicle.

Liked: Location fantastic. Major roadworks right outside, but no noise in room and very little elsewhere in hotel.Room comfortable, but slightly weary.
Disliked: Breakfast finished a bit too early for us holidaymakers

Liked: Location of hotel is great, right in the centre of all the shops withs lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance
Disliked: Hotel is very dated, public areas are ok but rooms could do with a refurb. Our bedroom was very cold, draughty windows. Bathroom was very small, door didn't give a lot of privacy.

Liked: Friendly staff, lovely hotel.
Disliked: I would have liked to be able to open the window, but couldn't. It wouldn't budge.

Liked: The location is really great: in the town centre and walking distance from the train station. The room is a bit old, but the shower was actually really good. Even though this also has its downsides, I did love the old style of the hotel.
Disliked: Reception staff didn't notice me when I arrived for quite a while (but were friendly nonetheless). The room was a bit tired and in need of modernisation.
