Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown

Liked: The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Disliked: No free breakfast. Coffee in the lobby - no flavored creamers. Only one mirror in the room that is in the bathroom. Only one small trash can in the room and that too was in the bathroom. For the price you pay for this hotel I expected a few more things.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. We had a great time.

Liked: Nice hotel; clean; great location.

Great location in the heart...

Liked: Location is ideal and close to everything downtown. I went there for the Indycar Detroit GP and would happily stay next year.
Disliked: The valet process wasn’t clear at first, but we eventually figured it out. The Applebees closed at 10… which seemed early for a Saturday evening.

Disappointing

Liked: I liked the location
Disliked: I was double charged for parking and the room was wrong. I wanted a 2 bed room and got a 1 king bed. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom and no toilet paper or working ironing supplies. Air conditioner wasn't working properly and sweat all night couldn't sleep well.

HORRIBLE

Liked: It being downtown
Disliked: The ac wasn’t working, staff was rude and very unprofessional, pool was closed and wasn’t informed about that until I got my daughter and I ready and went to the pool. Shooting outside our window. It’s was awful and we didn’t spend the night due to being unsafe!

Liked: Check in was fast and easy, the room was clean and comfortable
Disliked: We were locked out of the hotel for a moment, we also had to pay $35 for parking, the hotel should validate parking and also it should be on their website or any listings that they do not provide free or flat rate parking

Superb

Staying Downtown

Liked: The view was spectacular! Our room was very large, clean, and so quiet that we heard neither street noise nor noise from other guests.
Disliked: That we couldn't have stayed longer!

Excellent stay at the Courtyard...

Liked: Location was great as it was within walking distance to the conference we were attending. The hotel is newly renovated, so everything felt brand new!
Disliked: Nothing I can recall.

Liked: Gym and indoor pool, in house restaurants
