Worst experience in a hotel...

Liked: Rooms had an awful smell. Went through 4 rooms before we found one that didn't smell, it was a downgrade. That room has AC issues. It had not stopped for the tub and we were told they could give us small towels to shove in the drain. The notepad in the room had food residue from previous guest on it We requested maintenance for the AC and we're assured they would be with us in 30-60 at the hour mark we followed up and also asked for them to bring big spray for the live big. The front desk informed us maintenance would not be coming and we could move rooms again. We went for a suite to a two queen.roo. to a king. Manager refused to refund us so we could go to a different hotel. Manager was rude. Asked to speak to GM and was refused, serval times. Finally a first name was provided but no contact information. I called and asked to speak to Taylor, never received a return call. The front desk manager spoke about me to staff in Spanish, asked her if she was speaking about me to not do it in Spanish as I had a right to know what was being said. She got very loud and rude and refused.to speak English. Between smelling awful, live bugs and ride staff I did. It feel this was a safe place to stay but was forced to stay because my money was held hostage by the hotel because the front desk manager held my money hostage. I've never had such a horrible experience at a hotel. I will say the front desk night person did try to help but told me the manager was sleeping and could not be contacted only to find out through the manager at check out that he did infact speak to her several times, so not only was the hotel inhabitable the staff lied to my face.

Liked: Location being close to where we needed.
Disliked: Rooms were dated, worn, bed was not comfortable. For the price charged it did not come close to meeting expectations.

Besides the door concern and...

Liked: Immediately as I arrived and tried to enter my room and every time after my door key was not working and eventually they had to change the battery pack the final time. It was not due to user error but the handle had to be jiggled and forced upon to open. No warning that the door was going to not work. Very inconvenient when you arrive back home tired at 4am and had to go down the elevator several times to request assistance. The phone had no cord so I was unable to use it to dial the front desk and all the plugs by the beds did not work. There was also an unsightly red stain by the bed. Besides that the room was clean and organized and I slept comfortably. Fix the doors or upgrade so that you know if they are going to die soon. This should be checked for each unit that’s booked daily.
