The Spotlight on Corus Hyde Park Hotel

Classic London Comfort Near the Music

Modern, cozy, and perfectly placed in central London, the Corus Hyde Park Hotel blends timeless charm with city convenience. Just steps from Hyde Park and a short walk from Royal Albert Hall, this stylish hotel offers a peaceful retreat with a touch of elegance. With free Wi-Fi, contemporary rooms, and a bright piano lounge, it’s a great base for exploring the city or catching a show.

Located right by Lancaster Gate Underground Station and just 10 minutes from Paddington Station, getting to and from gigs—or back to the airport—is a breeze.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans appreciate the easy walk to Royal Albert Hall and quick tube access to London's major music venues. Despite its central location, the hotel offers a quiet night's sleep—ideal after a loud encore. The 15:00 check-in gives you time to settle in before the show, and the location near Paddington means you’re never far from a late-night ride home.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a classy yet central stay
  • Solo travelers heading to a dream gig
  • Couples making a weekend of music and sightseeing
  • Fans needing a calm space to recharge post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value close to the action

Food and Drink Options

After the show, grab a bite or drink at Olio Bar, which overlooks Hyde Park and serves light snacks and beverages. The conservatory brasserie offers a modern European menu made with seasonal ingredients. While there’s no 24/7 room service, late-night snacks are available, and the area has plenty of walkable dining spots. Breakfast is served in the morning—perfect for those needing a gentle start after a big night.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you’re well placed for after-show drinks. The nearby areas of Mayfair, Notting Hill, and Oxford Street offer pubs, wine bars, and lounges. Want to keep it low-key? The on-site Olio Bar is a mellow place for a nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, especially being close to Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Reviews highlight the friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the hotel’s classic London feel. The piano lounge is a favorite spot for unwinding before or after a concert.

Areas for Improvement

Some rooms are on the smaller side, and the hotel’s older charm means it’s not ultra-modern. A few guests mention the bathrooms could use a refresh, but most agree the convenience and value outweigh these quirks.

The Bottom Line

With its unbeatable location, quiet comfort, and easy transport links, the Corus Hyde Park Hotel is a smart and stylish choice for concert-goers in London.

Overall not a nice experience,...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Very dated. Absolutely filthy. Stained bedding, windows and window frames all mouldy and filthy. Bathroom was awful, shower was dreadful.Rooms Felt like a very grim budget hostel for travellers, got so much potential to be beautiful if a little money is spent to revamp

Great location for Hyde Park...

Liked: Location of the hotel is great for BST events in Hyde Park.
Disliked: No record of our booking when we arrived - apparently they had not received this from Booking.com. Once they manually checked us in there was only one room ready so four people had to get ready in one room. Second room wasn't available to us until after we had returned in the evening. Last stayed here two years ago and the rooms seem to have dated quite a bit but are clean. Bar wasn't open when we got back in the evening so we were unable to buy any soft drinks and had to buy small bottles of water for £3.00 each from reception. Staff were all very polite though.

Avoid this place location is...

Liked: Location was great everything else was absolutely horrendous
Disliked: Staff were rude and asked if my partner was my mother and we are both same age so not sure what was that about . Air conditioner wast working properly as it was set to only go down to certain temperature and couldn’t get any lower it was hot day so 3 of us kept waking up sweating all night as the window by bed wouldn’t open by the morning we were dehydrated and had headaches . There was dirt all over curtains and windows looked like they have never been cleaned it had dirt in corners that clearly was there for years . When we complained and asked for refund they ignored the communication from booking.com and eventually had to call and email them myself they have they are sorry for inconvenience but there will be no refund and that is just a slap in the face we live far away and after travelling all day all we wanted was a decent accommodation and this was not it I suggest Hotel starts treating their customers with some respect and clean it at least cause paying for this was the biggest mistake!
