Not what I expected

Liked: I liked the location and the fact that it was quiet and rural, also that the window opened.
Disliked: No breakfast. Apparently this has been the case since covid but photos showed a continental breakfast set up so I assumed it was included. I was disappointed to find it wasn't so left early and went to Morrisons in Rugeley for a full breakfast. The bathroom had small patches of mould and the shower head was broken, spraying water everywhere.

Just the inexpensive, no frills...

Liked: We needed a bed after a late-ish event, and this did the job. The host was obviously waiting for us and showed us everything. A clean, practical room with a great shower. We wanted to make the next day into a mini-break, and this was a great location in the countryside, near a wonderful cafe and farm shop, and a magnificant NT stately home.
Disliked: Rather hard to find in the dark - though there is a good sign when you finally get there. The worst thing is that the owners are retiring and the rooms won't be available next year.
