Disliked: Ice maker broken on my floor.

First room we were given was awful so I had to get our stuff and go back down to ask for another room. The pool was nasty and there were yellow jackets near the outdoor table by the pool where we were sitting, along with ants. It just didn't seem like a clean, upgraded hotel. I will never stay there again. I am not happy with the stay there. I was there with my daughter for a concert which was great and she loves to swim but said the pool was nasty and smelled like pee. We went to another concert in Atlanta before the 4th of July and got a much nicer room for less money than this one in Charlotte.

Old hotel that badly needs refurbishing. It has great potential but it just hasn't been updated in many years. Breakfast was minimal. We ate elsewhere.

Liked: Bed was clean and very comfortable to sleep in. Staff was friendly upon check in and check out. Room was large enough for 4 people. Rolling carts for luggage were available.
Disliked: Bathroom was clean but some of the fixtures were rusted. Lights were not working properly in the room or bathroom. Carpet had lots of stains and needs to be replaced or steam cleaned. While this is advertised as a non-smoking facility the hallways smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. Surroundings were near restaurants and stores but a little bit sketchy. Breakfast was not very good. Waffles were the best choice while scrambled eggs were just bad.

Poor housekeeping

Disliked: My room key quit working had to go the the front desk 2 times to get it to work. We needed room service, and the housekeeper didn't bring us our towels and toiletries. We had to go get it from the front desk. Every time we would go in or out of the hotel, it smelled like Marijuana that was really strong
