Room ok but very typical...

Liked: Nice surroundings. One of the staff a little surely.
Disliked: The food. I asked for a soft boiled egg and it arrived hard and pealed. The bacon was tough from having been cooked and stored in the oven.

Excellent location, great breakfasts, splendid...

Liked: We had a fabulous room; it was enormous, with a 3 double-door bay window onto a large, shared [but zoned and divided] balcony, and we could see the sea, down through the trees. We could also sit outside at the table and chairs there, overlooking the main gardens and the flat garden which is on the roof of the swimming pool! Inside, there were two comfortable chairs, a table, chest of drawers and wardrobe and a large TV; also a well-stocked tea/coffee tray.Good sized, clean bathroom with a terrific shower. The pool was wonderful! There's an excellent system of exchanging your door card for a swimming towel. The changing facilities and shower were great and the temperature of the water just right for covering lengths after a busy day!Beautiful grounds with interesting trees. An easy walk to the bottom of the gardens, to the gate, where we could use a code and then walk into Teignmouth and the shops. Excellent breakfasts with good choices of everything. This meant we could go out for the day without needing lunch!Very helpful to have a car park, outside the main entrance.
Disliked: All 6 of the lovely curtains needed to be properly re-hooked back onto their rails! The double bed was a bit firm for one of us, but the single bed was better - luckily, we had the choice! We would have liked better individual lights for reading in bed.

Very good for what we...

Liked: Accommodation was pretty good as was food and breakfast. Parking available but would like to see dedicated marked disabled bays. Our rooms didn't have a lift to upper floor which was a slight problem for us less ambient guests. Staff were great as was location. Really top marks for our enjoyable overnight stay.
Disliked: No lift. No disabled bays.

Pleasant stay and did the...

Liked: Staff were really friendly and helpful, was great we were able to stay with the dog as a stop gap and the pool was a big hit with the kids-basic pool but we managed to make our own fun. We were able to request a later check out free of charge which helped with packing and loading the car as it was very wet. The grounds are beautiful and the beach a stones throw away, easy access at the bottom of the garden. Breakfast was top notch, good range from everything from a full Engkush to cereals, cakes and watermelon- included in the price of our stay. Room was lovely and big for the 4 of us and the camp bed put up for my daughter was just about the right size (age 7). Not sure our eldest would have been the same or why there arent 4 main beds in a family room.
Disliked: The property is very outdated, the windows mainly which spoil the look and rattle in the night. We tried to wedge cardbaord from sweets into the window fixings as the weather was very windy and wet, making a constant rattling noise (our room was at the front of the building). Food was also over priced, we stayed for evening meal and although the food was tasty-was not enough of it for the price paid (£15-£17 per meal). We had curry with my 14 year old still hungry afterwards.
