The Spotlight on Clarendon

Classic Georgian Elegance in the Heart of Bloomsbury

Set in a beautifully restored 19th-century Georgian townhouse, the Clarendon Hotel blends timeless charm with modern comforts. Located in stylish Bloomsbury, this 4-star hotel is just a 15-minute walk from Euston Station and a short stroll from Russell Square Underground Station, making it a smart pick for concert-goers looking to stay central with easy Tube access.

Why Concert-goers love it

Thanks to its quiet location tucked away from London’s late-night noise, the Clarendon offers a peaceful retreat after the energy of a gig. You're within walking distance of major venues and just one tube stop from hotspots in Soho and Camden. The 24-hour front desk makes late check-ins easy, and with WiFi included, you can upload your concert pics before bed.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends who want a classy base near the buzz
- Solo travelers ticking off a dream show
- Couples planning a romantic concert weekend
- Fans who appreciate a quieter post-show space
- Budget-conscious music lovers who still want 4-star comfort

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t offer full late-night dining, the in-house lounge bar serves light snacks and drinks 24/7—perfect for a post-show wind-down. A continental breakfast is served daily, ideal for a slow start after a late night. For lunch or dinner, guests can dine just across the street at the Clarendon's sister hotels.

Nightlife Options

You're just a short walk or quick Tube ride from the nightlife of Covent Garden and Soho. Whether you want a laid-back pub, a cocktail lounge, or to keep the music going with more live acts, you’re well-placed. The hotel’s own bar is a quiet, convenient option for a nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the elegant period style of the building, the friendly staff, and the top-notch location for exploring central London. The peaceful setting in Bloomsbury is often praised as a welcome escape after a busy night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note the rooms can be on the smaller side, and the decor—while classic—may not appeal to those seeking ultra-modern design. Still, most agree the comfort and location make up for it.

The Bottom Line

The Clarendon Hotel is a quiet, elegant spot in central London that lets concert-goers rest easy between gigs—without missing a beat.

Quiet setting, friendly staff

Liked: Location is within walking distance to theatres and Covent Garden. Breakfast was continental and there was a wide of food available.
Disliked: Cobwebs in the room could have been cleaned. The key fob to our room failed to work one morning, so we had to wait in reception for 1 hour whilst it was fixed, but I feel we could have been offered something complimentary for the inconvenience we suffered.

Excellent location, room was okay,...

Liked: Fantastic location
Disliked: Room was a bit worn and tired, some of the windows wouldn’t open. I asked staff to book me a taxi, they only told me they weren’t able to do it when it was time take the journey and I had to organise the taxi myself.

Could be better

Liked: Perfect location. Historic area and building. Easy access day and night. The room, although small, was not bad.
Disliked: - The room was unbearably hot for the entire duration of my stay, including at midnight and into the morning hours when it was already cool outside. The building turns into a sauna. With no AC available, I would not recommend sleeping here at all in the hot summer months.- The elevator was broken roughly every other day. Climbing the narrow stairs with luggage was uncomfortable.- My bathroom faucet was leaking pretty badly. Thankfully, it was fixed the next day.
