Liked: The food was excellent. The staff were very helpful.
Disliked: The building work does not help with the overall impression but if you look beyond this you can see what the owners are looking to achieve and it will be very good. The sound travels through the corridors quite badly.

Liked: Exceptional position for visiting the Cotswolds.Stayed in the Manor House, room was lovely with great views, bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice, I loved their Turkish eggs, delicious. Staff were terrific. We ate dinner in house and tried everything during our stay between our friends,no complaints!
Disliked: We were disappointed the swimming pool is no longer, I think Booking.com should remove the photo of the pool as it is misleading.The property is undergoing a major refurbishment currently, however the workmen were very respectful and polite.

Liked: Beautiful surroundings, good food, friendly staff, dog friendly
Disliked: We were initially disappointed to learn there is no longer a swimming pool or fitness centre, which when we booked last year was a deciding factor.

Liked: Spacious comfortable room, large bed. Stunning views and grounds. Lovely breakfast. Staff were super-friendly and helpful.
Disliked: A high climb into the bath for the shower. Maybe consider a step for older guests.

Wait until the remodel is...

Liked: The location of the property is awesome, beautiful views, quiet, pastoral setting.The breakfast area and staff who serve there are top notch. Delicious, full breakfast served very well.
Disliked: This property is midway through an extensive remodel and, I think, should be closed to guests during this process as the noise and mess of construction over-ride any amenities. The regular pricing was unwarranted. I was underwhelmed by the staff who checked us in, not particularly welcoming or helpful. We asked for a fan, as our room was warm, and the young lady was completely disinterested, even though eventually the fan did arrive when we had to ask a second time. The manager of the hotel was equally aloof. Never a kind word or interest in helping. I startled him in the business office when I walked in and he was a deer in headlights.With different management and a completed remodel this property will be stunning. Warning, however, it is being advertised as a wedding venue and, should they decide to also book regular guests at the same time, it will be a real distraction and inconvenience.
