Dating back to the 15th century this Tudor house and converted stable block is set in the grounds of Channels Estate. The individually designed rooms and suites include original features such as exposed wooden beams along with modern comforts. Each room with attached bathroom offers a DVD player and free Wi-Fi. Liked: Lovely Hotel in such a tranquil setting, yet only 10 minutes to centre of ChelmsfordSpecial mention to the exceptionally helpful lady on reception who guided us in when the sat nav had taken us 12 miles in the opposite direction and then really went the extra mile in securing a taxi to take us to the nearby Galvin Green Man at very short noticeThe breakfast, which was included in the price, was also excellent On-site parking is plentiful and free

Idyllic summer night staf.

Liked: Absolutely lovely stay- superb staff, lovely apartment rooms. Beautiful location. Excellent restaurant and food both for dinner and breakfast. It was a hot day so the patio doors were great
Disliked: Nothing - shame we couldn’t have stayed longer.
