Chaminade Resort And Spa

Great facility! Our room felt like an elegant tree house with the redwood deck extending into the woods. The staff was perfect and the food was amazing and really fun. Ostrich Carpaccio - WOW! Current rates makes this resort a bargain!!

Liked: Beautiful complex, pool area is great. Without the car it is hard to reach.
Disliked: Fitness area is open only till 8PM. I went there with my 7 year old kid, sign said under 16 it is not aloud to use equipment but in real life worker came and told it was forbidden for my kid to stay in gym room at all. So i couldnt do workout at all.

Watch where you walk at...

Disliked: My Wife and I had a fall due to the steep drop off of the sidewalk leading upn to the office. My wife experenc3ed and is still experiencing a lot of pan we both have a lot of road rash abrasions my wife almost 1 week later can not use her arms with one of the largest bruses i have ever seen on the arm she landed on. I rteported the fall to the front desk and they too0k my contact info in the morning and I mentioned to a superviser that I had left a report about the fall and at 5;00 PM I still had not heard from the hotel to check in and had I not made a second request I doubt that they would have contacted me. The have not checked in so I will be contacting a personal engery Lawyer and he will deal with this un safe hotel.

Liked: Nice location and very good restaurant at a wonderful location (with heaters at night!). Great swimming pool as well as the tennis court. Big fitness area. The room was spacious and the beds were good.
Disliked: There was almost no connection for calling and the phone at the room didn’t work. You have to leave the location, down the hill (2 miles) to do a phone call. The swimming pool for the kids is VERY LOUD. There is also a swimming pool for adults only (18+) but difficult if you have children of 16 and 17 years old, and too bad that a young internal had to make a remark for that!

A relaxing stay with beautiful...

Liked: The property had a peaceful, relaxing ambience. It was quiet at night, and we could open the balcony door for fresh air, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant offers a beautiful view and live music, which added a nice touch to the evening.
Disliked: The main pool and jacuzzi were packed with kids, but it was nice that they had an adults-only pool and jacuzzi as well. The restaurant food was just okay for me, though my child really enjoyed it. One downside: the urns were overflowing with empty cans, and more were scattered around. Also, valet service wasn’t offered — I was told to drive and find parking on my own, which felt a bit inconvenient.

Liked: Everything was available at The Resort.
Disliked: The parking. Lots of wasted time driving around. There should be a designated parking spot for at least one car if you’re paying for a room.
