Great location, warm welcome and...

Liked: I stayed in Suite A - comfortable, clean and good faciilities with a jacuzzi bath. The tea and coffee making facilities were great. THe bed was great, spacious and clean. Great facilities for walkers and cyclists (they could store your bike). Breakfast was great - small full English was delicious and presented with care.
Disliked: The TV was very dated and didn't work great - the sound was very tinny. Probably not needed now most people have phones. The decor was a little dated, but it was spacious and clean and that's what's mattered more

A hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Liked: Stayed here one night doing the Hadrian's Wall Path. Loved the comfortable, modern room we stayed in which fronted onto the car park. Upstairs had the beds and downstairs the sofa, bathroom and TV and we found this a useful layout for our needs. Staff were very helpful and a delicious breakfast was cooked to order. Town itself has some quirky shops and the Manor House opposite has a nice beer garden.
