Very friendly staff

Liked: Really friendly staff at reception who were very helpful when I had to change my booking. Great location yet very quiet

Liked: Once accessed, the lounge area was comfortable and the complementary bar services option was nice.
Disliked: However, access to the hotel by car was a nightmare. “No available parking” was noted; but no instructions to accessible parking was provided prior to our arrival. Furthermore, we were ticketed and fined £40 for just entering a traffic zone in our attempt to locate the hotel. Again, we were not advised of this restriction and the public signage was inadequate. Comments from other guests confirmed our situation. This created a very negative beginning to our Glasgow visit. Booking.com should provide detailed instructions regarding this limitation and the penalties which might be incurred.

Liked: We stayed here several times before we like it because it was a step above other hotels & very central
Disliked: It needs done up it looks quite dowdy now,We were in an executive room, the room looked ok!! Just very old fashioned now,My husband didn’t like anything in the mini bar!! The snacks in the mini bar was 2 packs of crips!! I am sure it used to contain more than that before, and the tea & coffee with one biscuit to half between us.i paid extra for breakfast unfortunately my appointment was early in the morning so i couldn’t have breakfast, my husband said there was him and a couple in the restaurant and he was asked if he would like tea or coffee, he said tea,, my hubby said there was him breakfast was not the best (especially for the price)it was buffet style, he ate breakfast and no tea arrived yet when he said to the person can i have tea please they said oh i forgot sorry, only 3 people in the restaurant

A good quality excellently located...

Liked: Great location – especially for the venue of the conference I attended, but also the immediate vicinity of George Square and Buchanan was a great plus. Great staff – very polite and helpful.
Disliked: The facility needs some renovation. Poor drainage of the sink is a no-go for such a high-end hotel! The furniture is also pretty old, although functional. One of the elevators was being repaired during my stay – a minor inconvenience. It should have been less pricey given all the above.
