Short Glasgow stay

Liked: The staff were understanding when we said we couldn't stay due to lack.of air conditioning and gave a full refund. It is extremely close to Glasgow Queen Street station, like a one minute walk.
Disliked: I can't rate fairly as we didn't stay overnight. We checked in at about 6pm. We were told that there was no air conditioning working but that our window opened and there was a fan. We took our luggage up to our room and went out for dinner. Upon returning, the room was like an oven . Realising that the fan and a window cracked open an inch but still covered by heavy curtains, were not going to provide relief, we checked out and went somewhere else. From our short time in the room I found the furniture to be dated. One cupboard door was half falling off its hinges when opened. We were initially attracted by the mini bar but I don't know if the liquor decanters are checked or cleaned and emptied after each guest. It wouldn't take much for these to get contaminated. We also found previous guests clothing in a cupboard and a random dirty rubbery thing just sitting on the chair.

Liked: Superb location, right next to train station and main shopping street
Disliked: Our room was rather tired looking with carpet peeling off in some places. Dark in the room and the outlet where largest lamp was connected was not functioning… had to drag furniture around to reach another outlet
