Great ambiance, lovely location, good...

Liked: Staff were great, atmosphere and ambiance awesome - outdoor fireplace, cosy "pub" area, different dining areas. Hot tub was good. Good pub style food - large serving sizes
Disliked: We had to check out early and the shower hot water wasn't hot at 5am - which was not what we would expect - we couldn't inform anyone as there was no one on duty at that hour of the morning. The room was quite small and if you had more than one large suitcase (we were a couple) there was very little room to put them or move around the bed.

Beautiful setting

Liked: The room was lovely, cosy, and warm and enjoyed the balcony, especially for sunrise, which was spectacular. The bathroom was great. The hotel is in one of the most beautiful locations. The pub is stunning and the food was delicious at the restaurant and pub. Staff were lovely and welcoming.
Disliked: Location of hot tub is quite public to the gift shop and people wandering around and the TV could do with an upgrade.

Disliked: We had stayed before and had a kitchenette and was prepared to have the facilities available to get a room with none of the facilities I thought we were getting, might have been my fault, but figured a family room was the same! P

Great place to see -...

Liked: The Cardrona Hotel is so iconic that it is worth visiting. Our deluxe King room was nicely appointed with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. The overall experience could be amazing with some key areas of improvement.
Disliked: From the room perspective, it was very expensive, only to find out that it's attached to the laundry/boiler room, so all night it sounded like dryers were going, accompanied by banging pipes. Within the hotel and the restaurant, we found the staff lacking in customer service. It's the spot that everyone visits, so they seemed to have a lack of care. During our registration, I had 3 staff walk past me while I was waiting for someone to be at reception. Despite pressing the silent bell, it was clear there was no sense of urgency. Not only did a returning staff member walk past me again this time with a glass of wine, ignoring now, two waiting customers. But we could hear a group of staff having a pleasant conversation at the barista station, and they only came to our aid once another customer interrupted them for service.
