Disappointing

Liked: Staff was friendly and there is parking and the location is good, right near all the tourist attractions in Santa Cruz.
Disliked: The motel looks like it has not changed a single floorboard, door or piece of furniture since the 1970s. This is your typical $80 motel. Don't come here expecting the Hilton, although there is one literally next door

It was adequate

Liked: The location was good. The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The motel refused to accept the pre-payment through Booking.com, requiring us to pay again for the motel room.There wasn't hot water to our room.

This place is really a...

Liked: It’s very close to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Disliked: This place is a dump. It looks very dirty and dingy. There’s mud on the floor where it hasn’t been cleaned. There are holes in the curtains. There are cigarette burns on the nightstands. There are stains on the mattress and they don’t even have fitted sheets. This place is nasty.

We had an excellent trip....

Liked: 2 blocks from the boardwalk. Close to anything you needed within walking distance. Bed was comfortable. Offered covered parking. Definetly older facility but all in all fit our needs and we throughly enjoyed our trip. Our first time to the area.
Disliked: Not that we didn't like it, but upgrading of the bedding would make the room a little more eye catching. Very old style but it didn't take away from the trip. Just a suggestion
