Liked: The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. The room (Van Dorn) was spacious and comfortable with lovely furnishings and amenities. The hosts are so nice and we really felt we were treasured guests. Diane shared so much history about her home and the people who inhabited it before. She also is a walking text book of the surrounding area, including Natchez. Target and Jeb were a delightful bonus. And let’s not forget breakfast! The best.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn’t like or would improve.

My hosts were amazing fellow-history...

Liked: Beautiful, peaceful environment. Property was exceptionally well maintained. Loved to sit on the porch and view the perfectly manicured rolling hills.
Disliked: The road to the back of the property was a bit bumpy, but was really my car’s fault. I am still driving my dad’s 20 year-old car (miss him too much to give it up). Should be fine on my next visit. I am taking a leap of faith and buying anew car this summer.

Liked: We were already amazed when we drove onto the wide, park-like property, - large old trees lined (not only) the road to the house. We were very warmly welcomed by our hosts in their beautiful and historic house. So there was also a small tour of the house and garden right at the beginning. Our accommodation was in the neighboring building, which in earlier times probably served for agricultural machinery, horses, etc.. Of course, nothing of this was to be seen! Everything is very well preserved, restored and authentic. Our room was really very nice! In the evening we sat in front of the house in old rocking chairs and enjoyed the varied night sounds and silence at the same time. Breakfast the next morning was INCREDIBLY GOOD! We sat in the dining room in the house of our hosts and were treated to a really good breakfast! This address, these dear hosts, are really an absolute insider tip! We think back so fondly to this wonderful place!

Liked: Breakfast was fantastic as was the history of the plantation and the hosts were very friendly and accomodating. Would definetly stay there again. Beautiful and well cared for property.
