Lovely historic hotel in excellent...

Liked: Very convenient walking distance to Minute Maid Park, local restaurants and activities. The historic hotel is GORGEOUS, beautifully renovated and decorated. Very clean and well kept.
Disliked: Only one elevator was working during most of our stay, thus we had to walk up & down multiple flights of steps . Also a little creeped out by Sunday am male breakfast waiter who came on duty, finger in his nose, using his cell phone then picked up coffee pot to refill customer cups. Sure wished he’d washed his hands before beginning his shift.

Liked: Location and that the room was clean.
Disliked: Check in for the room was 3. I arrived at around 2:20. Room did not become available until about 3:45PM. I had to leave my luggage in another room until I came back to check in at a later time since I had already stepped out.There were 2 elevators for the 20 some floors. After waiting about 15 mins for the elevator that never came and when it did was too full to fit I decided to climb up 11 flights of stairs to my room.After climbing up and down the stairs, I asked the bartender for a cup of water..he stated “you can buy some at the snack bar”. I asked for tap water and he stated he had no water and that again, I could buy the water from the mini bar.

Disliked: Elevators did not work throughout our stay. Coffee pot in room was not set in accordance to number of adults in the room.
