Buxton Palace Hotel

Adequate for what we needed.

Liked: It's a good location for the centre of Buxton.
Disliked: The hotel rooms are dated and looking in need of refurbishment.

Pleasant and a great town....

Liked: Lovely rooms in great town.
Disliked: Food in restaurant was awful. I think the head chef is a microwave.

Liked: Great location for the opera house.
Disliked: Only 2 coffee machines at breakfast, both broken! No worries, after that 1 experience we ate out every day.

Liked: Clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient walking distance to Buxton Town center. Grand Hotel. Little bit dated but full of character.

Disliked: Compact room was ridiculous- bed was against wall to get into bathroom. No room to access

If there was an alternative...

Disliked: The breakfasts were awful. No fruit salad some days other days just prunes or raw apple. The bacon was like leather. My room was only accessible after 33 stairs. No lift.
