Liked: Kind staff, a comfortable room and huge bed.
Disliked: The restaurant wasn't open on one evening although I'd booked a table for 7.45. I found the other dining room had a large and noisy group in it so I ate in the bar. The Nespresso machine had a water tank leak that soaked my work while I was at breakfast.The fan in the bathroom made a shrill screech each time I used it. I did pass this on at reception.

Our stay was perfect.

Superior" Room Fell Far Short...

Liked: I cannot fault the cleanliness of the room and hotel, and the staff were consistently lovely and helpful, always trying their best to assist.The food, while lovely, felt expensive, and being served Sarsons vinegar directly from the bottle certainly didn't feel classy at that price point.
Disliked: Sadly, our recent stay at The Bush hotel was a significant disappointment, and I would not repeat it. This was particularly upsetting as it was for our wedding anniversary, and we'd upgraded to a "superior" room expecting a special experience.The "superior" room we paid extra for offered a truly dismal view of the kitchen bins and the backs of houses. This is simply not what one expects from a more expensive room upgrade, and it was a huge letdown.Adding to the frustration, the room lacked a dressing table, despite pictures suggesting otherwise. The nearest mirror was too far from any plug, making it impossible to dry my hair properly. For our anniversary dinner, I resorted to using the TV reflection to straighten my hair, which was incredibly awkward and far from the "superior" experience I anticipated. While staff kindly brought a mirror, it was simply propped on a table, and I was also offered an untested extension lead, which I was understandably unwilling to use.The final straw was at breakfast. I had specifically paid for breakfast for a decent coffee, ideally a cappuccino, but the coffee machine was broken. After a 20-minute wait, a staff member informed me the manager said no, only for me to then be able to buy a cappuccino from the bar shortly after. This inconsistency was baffling and frustrating.Overall, despite the excellent staff and cleanliness, the core elements of what we paid for – particularly the "superior" room experience – were severely lacking. We do not feel the price paid was justified, especially for the significant difference from a standard room. I've taken photos of the room view, which speak for themselves.
