Very poor

Liked: The land and building are beautiful. Hotel has character and feels very historical.
Disliked: Outdated facilities. So many stairs and no lift. No shower and taps were old ,seperate hot and cold taps. There were no plug sockets. I had to remove tv and kettle plug to use a charger.

Exceptional

Overall it was very good...

Liked: The staff the rooms and the facilities were very welcoming and I appreciated all the staff helping me and the leisure club was something that I never thought I needed until I tried it out especially when you wake up at 6am and u can go for a swim and go to the gym.
Disliked: The WI-FI was abit weak at times as I tried to watch Netflix and it kept loading every 2 minutes and it wouldn’t let me call anyone due the WI-FI having a weak signal and had no service until I went outside.

Disappointing

Disliked: The hotel has been forgotten about it seems. The staff do there best and are very helpful and polite but they agreed that the owners have just let it go and don't care about it anymore, it's such ashame as its a stunning building with alot of potential.It definitely needs attention and a good clean with alot of things replaced or fixed. Thers no atmosphere, there wasn't even a bar man on when we stayed and this was for our anniversary, was quite disappointing as the hotel itself is stunning.

Lovely stay

Liked: Lovely location & property with plenty of parking, room overlooked the gardens, room was clean just a little dated, breakfast was lovely & we enjoyed an evening meal in restaurant which was really nice. We made use of the swimming pool which was great with friendly staff
