Disappointing to have chosen this...

Liked: The building is beautiful and well look after on the outside
Disliked: It is very outdated. The spa is really ugly and dirty, breakfast was mega disappointing as there were little options and the hot meal was really bad made. The bacon was uncooked and hashbrows were cold and dry. I eneded up not eating at all.

Liked: I liked that it had the facilities to go and relax in. The room size was just right.
Disliked: Too many steps to go up and down to try and find your room

Liked: For the price it was adequate but for the style of business one would hope for table clothe, more extravagant plates, cutlery and pleasanter presentation of cereals.
Disliked: No lifts and too many ups and down stairways - we are old and feel thos, but know nothing can be done as it is a Listed Building.

Disliked: No lift only a lot of stairs to clime with heavy suitcases, restaurant menu was was the same each evening with misspelling breakfast was not good and they had run out of choice of continental fruits and pastries.

Will not be going back

Liked: Location was as expected. The outside looks grand and the entrance very nice. But after that it is in need of a major make over the net curtains were dirty the widows needed cleaning and the room decoration very dark and in need of a lot of work. Looks like nothing has been done since the 1980s food very basic and limited choise

Will most definitely stay again.

Liked: Lovely view of pendle Hill. Extremely comfortable room. Lots of little touches, bottled water, yummy chocolate biscuits, aranciata. Big bath, lots of hot water fluffy towels. We look forward to staying again. Friendly staff.

Superb

Liked: Claire was absolutely incredible, as were the breakfast staff and barman.
Disliked: Wifi non existent.

Excellent few small niggles

Liked: Close to the friends I was visiting easy to find. Stayed for 2 night, breakfast was good although continental choices limited. Waiting staff particularly the older gentleman very polite and efficient. Check in and out staff friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the bar but appeared busy. Pool area clean and tidy and warm. Rooms are dated but overall clean (although some attention To detail missed a couple of cobwebs, beds comfy and room generally clean aside from the issues outlined above
Disliked: Quite dated rooms and towels not changed daily.
