Disliked: I checked in around midnight, found bird poo all over the bed, side table and desk. It was traumatising and I did not stay there. The manager promised me a refund and issued me a signed letter confirming it, however, the staff completely ignored booking.com and myself when we contacted the hotel. All they had to do was reply to booking.com email confirming the refund so I never received it. I guess the hotel is used to bird poo in their rooms and my request for a refund was one of the many.. how is this place still open?

Good

Liked: Excellent location at the heart of the city. Very close to New Street St. Excellent price but don't expect anything fancy. Bathroom had been redone since my last visit and that was very nice
Disliked: I have stayed here before so nothing was surprising. Still no sound proofing between rooms, needs more renovation soon and elevator is super slow (one was out of order during my whole stay).

Liked: Stayed for a Stag Do, so didn't spend much time in the room, but it was £70 a night, so didn't expect too much, and that's what we got.
Disliked: Bed was the most uncomfortable bed i've ever slept on, and the view outside the window, was just the back of the hotel i think, with dirty sheets and stuff thrown on the windows, also really noisy.

Disliked: Staff could have been more welcoming and helpful on arrival, departure was fine. An extra pillow would have been nice as would de caf coffee in room. We arrived too late at night to want to ask for either
