Very good

Liked: Great localization very close to fairs (Essen Messe) and some restaurants. You can find coffee express and tea kettle in the room. Nice and clean rooms, access with digital code anytime you want (to the hotel and to the room).
Disliked: Very loud road with traffic next to the hotel. Remember to order breakfast in advance otherwise you can be surprised in the morning ;-)

Good location for the Messe...

Liked: The location was good for the Messe Hall and local restaurants and bars and the staff were friendly.
Disliked: The breakfast room was dark and a little tired looking in terms of decoration fixtures and furniture. Similarly, I stayed in a single room with poor lighting, faulty curtains, tired looking fixtures and fittings, no desk and a toilet door that didn't shut. The hotel is on a main road and my room was particularly noisy. Despite the inclusion of a giraffe themed light fitting which was just a bit weird, this did not make for a boutique hotel experience. My colleagues had larger rooms that were better so maybe I was unlucky in my room selection.

Liked: Breakfast is really good,, the staff is helpful. Also, I was able to recover something that I had forgotten in the hotel.
