The Spotlight on Bloc Hotel Birmingham

Smart Design Meets Concert Night Convenience in Birmingham

Modern and minimalist, Bloc Hotel Birmingham brings a sleek, Japanese-inspired aesthetic to the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. This stylish hotel is all about smart space-saving comfort, with high-tech touches and a chilled-out vibe that’s perfect after a night out at a gig. With top venues, bars, and transport links all within walking distance, it’s a savvy base for music lovers exploring Birmingham.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just minutes from Birmingham’s major music venues and nightlife spots, making it easy to stroll home after a show. The quiet but central location in the Jewellery Quarter means you’re close to the action but can still get a good night’s sleep. With check-in from 15:00 and a generous 12:00 check-out, there’s no rush the morning after. Plus, tram stops and train stations are within easy reach for late-night travel.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for a fun, affordable base
Solo travelers catching a dream show
Couples turning a concert into a weekend escape
Fans who want a quiet, comfy space to crash after the gig
Budget-conscious music lovers who still want style

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t have a restaurant, it’s surrounded by great local cafés, bars, and restaurants – ideal for pre- or post-concert bites. Plenty of places nearby serve late-night food, and breakfast options are easy to find the next morning. For those who want something quick and easy, you’ll find several food spots within a few minutes’ walk.

Nightlife Options

Being in the Jewellery Quarter means you’re steps from trendy pubs, cocktail bars, and late lounges. Whether you want to continue the party or wind down with a drink, there’s something nearby. The hotel itself is more of a quiet zone – perfect for recovering after a big night.

What People Say

Guests love the modern design, comfy beds, and powerful showers, often noting how clean and well-maintained the rooms are. Many highlight the location as ideal for exploring Birmingham’s music, food, and shopping scenes. The high-speed WiFi and stylish lighting are also frequent favorites.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are compact – think clever, not spacious – so if you’re bringing lots of gear, it might feel tight. There’s no onsite restaurant or bar, so you’ll need to head out for meals and drinks (but that’s part of the fun in this lively area).

The Bottom Line

Bloc Hotel Birmingham is a stylish, smart choice for concert-goers who want modern comforts, a great location, and a quiet night’s sleep after the show.

Perfect for a short stay,...

Liked: The staff was super nice. We got there early, but they let us in right away since the room was ready. Everything was clean and smelled good. The room was small, but we knew that, and it was perfect for showering and sleeping for a couple of nights.
Disliked: During our visit, which coincided with a huge event, the price was higher than usual, though it remained more affordable than many other options within the city. The air conditioning, while noisy, was essential in the windowless room, even throughout the night, which presented a minor challenge in getting to sleep, as there was no option to adjust the airflow, only the temperature. While not a major issue, I must admit I would have expected something a little to customisable.
