Liked: Appreciate the fact that there is self check-in and check-out, and that you can access the lifts and your room without needing a keycard!

Not the room I booked…

Liked: Friendly staff on the whole. Room allocated was good if tight. But see below.
Disliked: The room shown on line was nothing like the room I ended up in. I was lured into upgrading to a superior, which looked like it had light, nice windows and a view. On arrival I was ‘upgraded’ to a ‘suite’ with ‘control panel, 2 TVs’ and other totally irrelevant features. Turned out to be in the basement and have virtually no natural light at all as well as pokey. Requested my original room. Told it was not available; shown to attic room with velux-like window. Remonstrated again and they started to tell me about management policies on check in. Also irrelevant. Pointed out that cannot show a room that people think they are getting - or at least one very like it - and then arbitrarily change it. Not impressed. Water was also lukewarm in bathroom despite cautionary mythical notices re ‘careful - v hot water’ type. Do not be persuaded into upgrade without clear info and assurance on the phone and in writing of what you are getting. Or stay elsewhere.

Liked: Very, very modern with everything controlled by your phone-from hotel entry, room entry, lights and air con which was weird at first but perfect. Close to several bars and restaurants and city centre a 10-15 walk away.Staff very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing. Everything was was we wanted and expected.
