Liked: There was a room plus bed but no breakfast available. Looked like the hotel was being refurbished

Disliked: No fans or air con - To be fair it didnt say they had them, but was 30 degrees outside. I felt comfortable and safe enough to leave the windows open though.

Disliked: Room was dated, had a weird smell, bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned either. There was no one manning the reception on arrival either. The place could do with a makeover

Liked: The location was good and the bed clean and quite comfortable. The room was spacious. Regrettably there was little else to recommend this hotel.
Disliked: The room was basic and in need of decoration. The furniture was merely adequate and poor quality, whilst the carpet clearly needed a deep clean. The toilet seat was loose and very worn, so was in need of replacement; the shaver point appeared not to be working and the hook fell off the back of the door when I tried to hang a towel on it. We found water in the kettle, which also wasn't clean. We were also surprised and very disappointed that the hotel did not offer breakfast the following day, particularly as we had a long journey to Scotland ahead of us.

Liked: Good location, free parking
Disliked: I have watched this place deteriorate over the last 5 years of staying and this is my last time. Its in need of repair, the showergel/hair shampoo smelt vile and was a dirty brown, the shower curtain was mouldy, all the window frames and door frames are coming apart. Lamps didn't work. It's actually a vile place to stay now despite apparent refurbs
