Quite shocking due to what...
Liked: Convenient location for an overnight stay close to work. Large room.
Disliked: The room didn’t look clean - cobwebs on ceiling. Dust on skirting board. Remnants of drug paraphernalia in wardrobe ( teaspoon with black/ burnt underside , elastic band and cigarette filters) in corner of wardrobe. Clearly the room had not been cleaned well as these were in the wardrobe still from presumably a previous guest. Also smell of weed in corridor leading to my room. Fair to say I haven’t encountered this on previous stats at the hotel

One to avoid and shouldn't...
Liked: There was nothing about this hotel to like, except leaving. I believe it does offer free parking - I didnt drive there
Disliked: Where do I even begin? Upon arrival, the reception area was dimly lit and completely unattended. I had to call a mobile number left on a note at the desk just to check in. The first thing that hit me was an unpleasant smell — a strong mix of sweat and cannabis. As I made my way to the room, I noticed people loitering on the stairs, and the carpets were torn up in places, with different styles of carpet patched together as I progressed through the building. Most of the room numbers were barely attached with tape; fortunately, my room number was at least properly fixed.Entering the room, the air was heavy with the smell of damp and mold. The windows were filthy, and mold was clearly visible around the frames. The shower gel dispenser in the bathroom was grimy, and the toilet bowl was permanently stained. The hairdryer looked so old it seemed more like a relic than a usable appliance. The bed sheets had a stain resembling blood, and the walls were covered in black handprints. The TV and its remote were extremely outdated, offering very few channels. On a more minor note, the two pillows provided were as thin as slices of bread, offering no real support, and there were no accessible charging points near the bed. After speaking with a few locals, I learned that the building had been converted into an asylum hotel, which explained a lot. I could continue listing the issues, but I believe the points above should be enough to make any potential guests reconsider booking — and hopefully prompt the owner to urgently address these serious problems.

Liked: Staff was friendly. First room provided wasn't cleaned. So staff member rectified the issues and provided me with a new room which was clean.
Disliked: The bathroom toilet didn't flush properly and the shower was covered in hairs. The bathroom needed cleaning.

Stay away at all cost
Liked: Comfy bed
Disliked: Took an hour to get in to my.room. The guy on reception had gone off for a sleep and not taken his phone. Utterly ridiculous. Hugely dated and in poor condition.
