I was positively surprised by the quality of the room. Although you have to pay to park, and the parking was limited. This may have been due to the fact we stayed on New Year's Eve. I would think if you have to pay to park there would be enough spots. The spots seem to be too small for all the large cars.

Disliked: Small parking spots.

Liked: The pool was great breakfast was decent and overall we had a great time
Disliked: I didnt like that you have to pay to stay in their parking lot! That should be included in the price but it wasn't

Disliked: Location of breakfast area. Breakfast area is on 4th floor.People on 3rd floor would wake up to noise from chairs being dragged around by 6am.

Liked: The location was good and the elevators were conveniently placed. Engineer did try to help solve the AC issue. Although it was out of his hands, he did offer to bring a fan which helped move airflow. Kudos to him.
Disliked: The first half of the room was very hot , i was on the 4th floor and the AC wasn't working properly.Because the bed was so close the the wall and underneath the AC, my child woke up to a puddle of AC water dripping onto the floor and bed. Breakfast variety could have been better. Limited breakfast variety. Small beds and tiny bathroom.

Passable

Liked: Loved the convenience of the location for sea world, zoo, beaches, and grocery stores. Seriously, just minutes away from everything. Also, was glad to have a microwave and mini fridge in the room. The breakfast each morning was descent enough. Not as many options and some other basic hotels, but it was ok.
Disliked: The rooms were small and tight. Old and run down a bit, even though it says it was renovated just 2 years ago. Lots of freeway noise and tons of pot smoking smell inside and outside of the hotel. San Diego is pricey, so we went with more of a budget hotel, and it felt very low budget. I wouldn't stay there again but it was a great location.
