Terrible Experience – Misleading Photos...

Disliked: I booked this hotel for myself and my 14-year-old son, but the room conditions were completely unacceptable. The room was located in a basement with no windows, and the smell was so strong and unpleasant that it was difficult to breathe. It was not suitable for anyone to stay in — even for free. My son was in tears, and we were shocked by how different it was from the photos on Booking.com.The pictures were completely misleading, and the actual room looked nothing like what was advertised. I informed the staff immediately that I wanted a refund, but they told me all payments are handled by Booking.com. I emailed the hotel, but they never responded, and my refund request was ignored.My vacation was completely disrupted — instead of enjoying the city, I had to spend time looking for another hotel and moving our luggage. I ended up paying double the price, since Berkeley Court Hotel refused to refund anything, and I had to pay out-of-pocket for a second hotel.Avoid this place at all costs. The smell is unbearable, the conditions are horrible, and the management is unresponsive. This hotel should not be accepting guests until it’s properly renovated and made livable.

Disliked: The worst hotel experience I've ever had – avoid at all costs!This place was absolutely filthy and had a terrible smell that hit me the moment I walked in. The room was dirty, unkempt, and felt completely unsafe. The hotel staff gave off a very suspicious vibe, which made me extremely uncomfortable, especially as a solo traveler.I decided I could not spend the night there due to the awful conditions. I told them I wouldn’t stay because of the state of the room, but they didn't offer me a refund or even a proper cleaning. I felt completely dismissed and unsupported.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this hotel like the plague!

Liked: Check in was quick. The location was close to where we needed to be.
Disliked: The beds were very springy, loud, and uncomfortable. The bathroom had black mould on the floor. There was chewing gum from prior visitors stuck on the wall over the bed and the radiator had clearly been on fire at some point previously (thankfully we visited in summer so it was off). We woke at 5 due to poor sleep and decided to just leave and find a coffee shop somewhere. Not a great experience!

Liked: Honestly there was nothing positive I could say about this so called hotel, apart from maybe the location
Disliked: We had booked this hotel in a rush as we were let down by another hotel on arriving, on arriving at the Berkeley we were shown to a room that still had rubbish and dirty towels on the floor, we said no we were not staying in that room, then shown to another room and it smelt of sweat, floors were dirty and window in bathroom was hanging sideways, absolutely horrendous. We left we could not even stay for one night. Totally unfit for purpose, dirty, run down, the smell of sweat, honestly would not recommend this hotel for anything at anytime. I think the street would have been cleaner to stay in.
