Very good
Liked: The property was about a 20 min walk from Lord Street which was a bit of a problem for my partner as he cant walk far. But we managed its a very old building 🏚 but quirky.. a bit tired & dated but everything was clean. The towels where super fluffy. The breakfast was only £5.00 and well worth the money fully cooked breakfast by yhe lovely Marie who is French ...the gardens are beautiful but sadly the weather was not ...well worth the money 💰 even just for the breakfast as much as you can eat 😋 delicious
Disliked: A bit dated

Not as good as last...
Liked: The room was spacious enough. Nice surprise to have a bath in the bathroom as well as a shower, even if the shower was over the bath which was a bit awkward
Disliked: Firstly, there was a mouldy, fluff covered malteaser on the floor by the side of the bed, secondly there was a used cotton bud under the dressing table. Lastly the cooked breakfast was not up to scratch, everything was fried including the hash brown😕I felt sick all day. The second morning I asked for poached eggs on toast so I wouldn’t feel the same. This was room 19

Passable
Liked: The cooked breakfast was plentiful, good, hot and delivered to our room. (As we had a dog).
Disliked: Corridor to our room smelt foisty. Another dogs hairs on the carpet (not our dogs) Bathroom floor was dirty and the bathroom was run down. Garden overgrown with dirty ashtrays filled with rain water.

Dissapointed
Liked: As much as it pains me to say this , apart from the friendly man who helped carry our case to our room , there was nothing else to like , which is a shame because the building is lovely.
Disliked: The building is dark , and definitely needs an urgent update . Our room had a stale smell when we walked in . The carpet was absolutely filthy . The wardrobes and dressing table were full of stains and dust inside and out . The bedding had cigarette burns in it and the cushions smelt like they hadn't been washed forever . I tried to make a coffee , but the granules had gone hard and when I opened the kettle , I could scrape out the crystallised water off the sides . The bathroom was filthy , tiles had other guests products and hair on them , the shower was so full of limescale that the water barely came out , the sink had a huge crack in it and the whole room was just grimy . I could go on, about the ceiling cracks and the wallpaper hanging off. We only stayed one night and we slept on top of the covers . This place needs a total overhaul , it's tired and it looks like the owners have given up caring . At 72 pounds , I wasn't looking for the Ritz , but general cleanliness is a bonus .
