Very good

Liked: My room was upgraded to a twin room with garden access, to make it easier to take my dog out, free of charge. Good breakfast each morning.
Disliked: Nothing really.

Overnight stay

Liked: I had a warm and friendly greating from the lady behind the desk, my room was ready when I arrived, I was offered help with transport etc if it was needed. My room was spacious with an overlooking view of the nice garden. Breakfast was only £5 with a variety of cereal, toast jams etc, orange &apple juice and full cooked breakfast on offer.
Disliked: Unfortunately, I did not sleep well at all, the pillows were old, hard and lumpy, my room was very tired and outdated, there were also a couple of cobwebs hanging down over the bed. I wanted a bath after walking round town for a good few hours,, the water took at least 10 mins to heat up and then it was only just warm enough for a bath, I had to give the bath an extra clean as there was residue left around the bath,, I got in hoping for a good soak and within 5mins my water was at half capacity as the plug obviously did not fit properly, the bathroom had half tiles and half wallpaper (which was dingey and peeling away) The room was advertised with free toiletries ( 3 small sachets of shampoo) Heating was a poorly placed storage heater on far side of room which warmed the bathroom only as pointed towards it. There was a radiator under the window that did not work.. Although breakfast was at a valued price of only £5 the (cooked) part was very budget ingredients. Although the ladies who worked(ran) the hotel seemed lovely there is a lot to do that could make stays better, I would certainly recommend better pillows as the bed was actually ok.
