Great location but have breakfast...

Liked: Great location - minutes from Paddington station and many bars and restaurants; some old and traditional ones too. Hyde Park and the Serpentine with its cafes and pedaloes was just across the road. We were in a room at the back of the hotel so it was fairly quiet at night. Our room was cleaned, I think, but the tea and coffee wasn't refreshed at all during our 4 night stay. The shower worked and got hot but the actual ensuite room was so small, it was uncomfortable.
Disliked: Breakfast was really early (6.30 till 8.30) and if your weren't done by 8.30 the staff began looming large around you and clattering dishes. The breakfast room was tiny and so not big enough to sit everybody. It got very cosy and very hot. The breakfast itself didn't vary and had little choice to start with. There was lots of stairs. We rebelled by day 3 and had breakfast at one of the cafes on the Serpentine which was lovely, BUT we'd paid in advance for bed and breakfast so the next morning we sadly went back to the hotel's breakfast.

Disliked: HOT! Hot weather means hot rooms. Noisy and inadequate fans and limited airflow. Need to update fans or add some that could move cool night air into through the windows. Didn't sleep well.
