The Hotel was one of best I have stayed in, in a long time. It was very clean and the staff was friendly.

Liked: The room was very clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. The amenities were nice. Pool towels, floats, and beach toys were available. Pool and hot tub was very clean. We enjoyed both. The beach entrance included a shower and water hose to rinse off beach sand. Check-in was easy. View was amazing.
Disliked: Elevators were slow sometimes. There were signs not to hold the elevators, and I guess people kept doing so, which interfered with their functioning. They were repaired immediately, so not really an issue. Continental breakfast was very basic, and did not have any meat. The beach area was conveniently located, but I didn't like the heavy vehicle traffic. The tide came up close to the vehicle path, which pushed us closer to where the whicles were driving on the beach. You could smell the gas and hear the inappropriate music. Even though a key was required to reenter the beach gate, somehow, non guests kept coming into the pool while we were there. I know they weren't guests because we saw them drive up while on the beach. This crowded the pool, which otherwise wouldn't have been. I've stayed at Daytona before down towards the pier and don't recall vehicles driving on the beach in front of our hotel. This is not near the pier and all of the cute shops and eating establishments.
