Liked: Beautiful hotel and surroundings and lovely staff
Disliked: Evening menu needed to be a bit more varied

Great place I definitely plan...

Liked: Beautiful tiful former stately home, cozy, comfortable and in gorgeous grounds with really friendly staff. White napkin service at meals but still quite relaxed.Lovely meal, nicely presented and served.
Disliked: The single bed in the family room didn’t have a headboard and was set against a wall with a dado rail at shoulder height and a window sill sticking into your back. Also lots of dust and cobwebs between the head end of the bed and the wall and a musty smell from that area. I did not get a restful sleep. However my father in the super king bed which did have a headboard slept well!Also whilst I loved the ambiance of the restaurant- relaxed and refined - the background rock music played on a loop throughout every meal rather spoiled the effect. Either soft classical or no background music would have been more appropriate for the setting and for the demographic of the diners!
