Booked late, nothing else available...

Liked: The staff are exceptionally kind.
Disliked: The rooms are really rudimentary … no air conditioning … hotter than July …

Friendly staff, but hostels are...

Liked: Helpful, friendly staff
Disliked: Shower was mouldy, carpet felt questionably clean, it was in the basement (below garden level) and despite a window in the well when I went to crack it open gently people were looking through the other window at 11pm across the way making it feel unsafe to leave open for some airflow so it was very stuffy. The lamp beside the bed had no switch to turn it on that I could find. I'd never stay in that room again. I wonder what if their other rooms are any better.

Safe, friendly, and clean value...

Liked: The person at the front desk was very friendly and nice. I also felt like the room was secure. I liked how there was an interior lock on the door that only I could open from the inside - that made me feel very safe as a single traveler. The location was excellent - separated enough from the city and thus a little bit quieter than busy areas but close enough for sightseeing to be within walking distance. Close to shops and great places to eat, 10 minute walk from kings cross.
Disliked: Noise travels pretty easily in this hotel - but it wasn't that big a deal for me. I could hear conversations from the surrounding rooms and hallways, but I knew that would happen from previous reviews, so it wasn't surprising.

Location great for the money,...

Liked: Very small rooms and the key broke in the lock when I tried to open the room door.
Disliked: Some rooms on basement floor seem to have problems with mice, saw poison traps put out
