Athens Hotel & Suites

Our room was just on top of a club. When we came back to sleep the room was literally shaking by the extremely loud volume of the music. Insane.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Poor attention; old carpets; a club without noise reduction insulation just below the rooms playing loud music until 2 in the morning.

I won't stay here again. I'm glad that I was drunk when we got back from the Elton John concert - you get what you pay for.

Liked: Close to the Toyota Center.
Disliked: Sorry to say but this hotel is stuck in the 70's. The hotel smelled and the rooms were in bad shape also - what do you expect for a cheap price.

Liked: Great location; quiet; decently priced.
Disliked: Unorganized and outdated.

Liked: Don’t let the outside fool you . Inside is very clean and comfortable suit . Very nice kitchen and beds were clean so was restroom . You can tell they are short staff but when I tell you they treat you like family they do ! They try their best to make you feel so welcomed!! I will be going back ! Wish they had a pool for the kids
Disliked: No Pool .

Horrible place to stay.

Liked: The location and 1 staff member who guided us to the parking lot.
Disliked: Even though I booked my room months in advance, they did not have my room. I was downgraded to a regular queen from the king suite I paid in full for with no refund.There is a $25/ day parking fee that you don't find out til you get there. Even though the parking is 2 blocks away with no valet. Public parking is right next to it and only $3/ day.There is no breakfast, a noise curfew, you can't have visitors, and many other rules that make it not worth the price. Plus this is all non-refundable. My room had metal foldable chairs and my bathroom door didn't even close.

Hotel was quaint, stay was...

Liked: Location is prime for downtown venue convenience. Room was comfortable and small kitchenette would have been used to our convenience had we stayed more than 2 days. We flew in, but parking right across the street ( meter parking).
Disliked: I didn’t dislike anything about the property.

Bad

Disliked: This hotel called me as I was boarding the plane to Houston to tell me that I was getting booted off my reservation because they were clearing the hotel for a hurricane. They gave me 2 options: rebook me somewhere "of equal value" or refund me. Since I was literally boarding the plane, I had no time to research my own room, so I asked them to rebook me. Instead of booking me at a place "of equal value," they kept a couple hundred dollars of profit for themselves and downgraded me to a roadside motel next to the interstate. Furthermore, when I tried to collect the difference, Booking.com refused all my efforts. Avoid this one at all costs, it's a scam.
