The Spotlight on Astor Court Hotel

Historic Charm Meets Central London Convenience

Modern comfort blends with classic Victorian style at the Astor Court Hotel, located just a 5-minute walk from Oxford and Regent Streets. Housed in a Grade II listed townhouse, this boutique hotel puts you in the heart of London’s vibrant music, shopping, and theatre scene. With spacious rooms featuring unique period details, satellite TV, and complimentary tea and coffee, it’s a charming base for your concert-filled getaway.

Whether you're heading to the West End for a musical or catching a gig at one of London’s iconic venues, Astor Court places you within easy reach—plus, multiple Tube stations nearby make exploring the city a breeze.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and Astor Court delivers. You’re just a short walk or a few Tube stops from London’s top concert venues and nightlife. Despite its central location, guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere—ideal for winding down post-show. With a check-in time of 15:00 and check-out at 11:00, it’s easy to plan your stay around event schedules. Plus, the nearby transport options mean getting back after a late gig is simple and safe.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a central base with shared experiences
  • Solo travelers chasing that bucket-list live show
  • Couples planning a romantic concert weekend
  • Fans needing a calm space to recharge after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking value without sacrificing location

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t have a full-service restaurant, it offers a handy ‘breakfast to go’ option—ideal for those mornings after a late night. Luckily, you’re surrounded by walkable cafes, pubs, and restaurants in every direction, from casual bites to sit-down meals. Late-night eats are easily found nearby, especially around Oxford Circus and Soho.

Nightlife Options

You’re perfectly placed to dive into London’s legendary nightlife. From West End bars to Soho clubs, everything is within walking distance or a quick Tube ride. Whether you’re looking for a rooftop cocktail bar, a pub with live music, or a quiet lounge to debrief post-concert, the options are endless.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s location, character, and cleanliness. Many highlight the friendly staff and the convenience of being so close to shopping and entertainment districts. The building’s historic charm and the spaciousness of the rooms also get frequent praise.

Areas for Improvement

The hotel doesn’t offer evening meals or an on-site bar, so you’ll need to head out for dinner or a nightcap—but with the West End just around the corner, that’s hardly a problem. Some rooms may feel a little dated to modern minimalists, but fans of classic London style will enjoy the vibe.

The Bottom Line

If you want a comfortable, character-filled stay within walking distance of London’s best shows and venues, the Astor Court Hotel hits all the right notes.

Very good hotel

Liked: The room was very spacious and extremely clean. The location was perfect with multiple bus and metro stops close by and very close to all landmarks.
Disliked: The breakfast was very very disappointing. A bag with a yogurt and a packaged croissant shouldn't be considered as "breakfast available" in booking.

Very nice stay

Liked: All was newly renovated and classy, very friendly staff, comfortable bed. We will keep it for a next time.
Disliked: Breakfast is quite poor, (a bag with a joghurt and a croissant in a plastic package) but there is a place very close where one can get croissants and a coffee (Joe and the Juice).

Everything perfect but the breakfast.

Liked: Very clean, spacious, comforting, elegant. A surprise considering the price. Nice location not too far from the centre. Supermarket, restaurants and pubs nearby.
Disliked: Breakfast is pretty lacking. Just preselected items in a bag, some fruits and a coffee machine. It doesn’t add up to the quality of the rest of the hotel. It was difficult for my father who has food allergies and intolerances. Cmon, there’s no pandemic anymore. Easily downgrades its rating from a 9.5 to an 8

Passable

Disliked: Breakfast was very basis. No choice given. We were given a brown paper bag with breakfast items. The staff at the front desk were very unhelpful when I asked for a container to assist my husband, who was very sick. I needed some water to clean an area after he was sick and was told we could not provide such service. On arrival at the hotel, the staff informed us that they are there to assist us with anything we require 24 hours a day. It was not good enough

VERY disappointing

Liked: Room was clean
Disliked: the hotel is above the underground train and you hear and feel it every 15 minutes!. No air conditioning. they charge for coffee if you use up the ones provided. you have to sign a document to hold you responsible for damage to the room but you don't see the room first to verify.? they charge 3 pounds for 2 micro sized water bottles. the listing states the hotel is close to 3 underground ?? not really. we went to the pub next to the hotel and fights were breaking out. a little over serving.
