Lovely hidden gem

Well worth money compared to...

Liked: Location, price, general appearance of property. Some investment in finishing touches would make a difference. However well worth money. Breakfast excellent
Disliked: Shower cold and minimal power.

Nice hotel

Liked: Hotel is lovely, staff very helpful. Room beautifully clean and a bath you could take a swim in. Views out over the front lawn and fountain. Breakfast was in the conservatory which was of good quality. Variety of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and typical English cooked items. Toast is ordered from the waiting staff. Check in and out was very smooth.
Disliked: The drive up the hotel is nothing but ruts and potholes. The bed was extremely soft. Almost fell out twice as I rolled near to the edge.

Disliked: Breakfast was poor, we asked for toast which never came and poor selection at the buffet

Well worth the stay.

Liked: Food was very tasty. Had to wait a bit for it but was worth it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Room was a bit noisy, we were in #27 and seems there was a motor?/generator? just outside window.Shower fixture wouldn't stay, shower handle kept falling into wall.

Liked: Beautiful building inside and out. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a good selection for breakfast.
Disliked: Rooms are a bit dated. The shower isn’t great, but that’s because it’s an old building.

Exceptional
