Lovely hotel

Liked: I love this place and stay regularly. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. It’s such a beautiful setting, you feel like you are away from it all, and is clean and comfortable
Disliked: I had a newer room this time which wasn’t as nice a the older room I usually stay in and the shower screen leaked if you weren’t very careful but it was still a good room. There’s nothing I actually don’t like about this hotel.

Liked: Everything about this hotel is lovely. The grounds are stunning & the staff are so warm & friendly.
Disliked: When the night manager locked the front door whilst he tended to something & we were locked out for about 10 mins. I started to panic as it was in the small hours & raining. However he did apologise & he did the right thing for his safety.

A most enjoyable short stay...

Liked: The restaurant and the staff were particularly good. The room was large and the bed comfortable. By current British hotel standards, the restaurant and bar prices were very reasonable. There was abundant hot water in the shower and bath. It was an interesting old hotel with some beautiful Victorian stained-glass windows.
Disliked: The numerous potholes in the approach road are a hazard - not the hotel's responsibility but a potential problem nevertheless.
