Terrible, do not stay here

Disliked: The Hotel is very run down and unfit for purpose. I’m surprised that it is listed on Booking.com. Torn carpet, damaged walls and doors. Hotel is currently covered in scaffold and builders wrap. Fire loading (laundry bags) in stairwell, we kept our bags packed in case we needed to make emergency exit. Fan in room was adequate but we had to shut the windows due to the smell from restaurant below. We were desperate for accommodation close to the train station as we had a very early start. Hotel is listed as a 3star, it is not even a 1star, the worst Hotel we have ever stayed at.

Disliked: Not 3 stars 1at very best. Filfy on arrival. Had to wait be "deep re cleaned" and even then it was still dirtyNo hand towel bathmat or face cloth.TV was too small and old you couldn't see it. The bathtoom, well that was next level. In the hand basin there was no sink drain, so you couldnt put a plug in if you had one. The shower, that was all cracked around the sealing in the bottom of shower, there were permanent stains shower floor, in need alot of maintenance. In general the bathroom was just run down and in grave need of replacement just like the rest of room.French doors to balcony rotten. Balcony could couldn't use as covered netting and scaffolding that has been there in quite sometime. Wall with cracks in them. Bad bed as metal legs stuck and you stubbed your toes on. Make shift repairs done on ceiling plastered but not painted.Water marks on ceiling and Cornishes from leaks. False representative, photo on website do not match what you are getting. Also there is no onsite restaurant, this is false as well.Apart from location there is absolutely Nothing good about this hotelFront of house person lazy and more interested in his computer and CCTV system.

Disappointing

Liked: Location near Paddington Station was excellent
Disliked: This was a single room and the bed was like a camp bed. I received multiple emails from the hotel before my stay telling me to update my details otherwise the booking would be cancelled. It asked me to update me card details ,which I did. I was then informed that I shouldn't respond to any messages from the hotel and I then had to cancel my bank card to stop any fraudulent activity.

Good value for money with...

Liked: The location is amazing, steps from Paddington station and Hyde park. Lots of activity and options. We ate at the Monkey Puzzle, a short 10 minute walk and highly recommend. The hotel itself is basic, however it was clean and the staff were very friendly. It has a family owned vibe. We were only there for one night so the value for money was great to be connected to London city center and the train station where you can catch the Heathrow express back to the airport (15min).
Disliked: It was hot and the hotel does not have air conditioning but fans were in every room. The building is old and they are currently doing facade work, but had the scaffolding not been up the view would have been great!

Disliked: Like a maze going up and down stairs to find room. Tierd and budget looking carpets and decor.

We didn’t stay, we had...

Liked: The only thing to like was the location and the friendly face of the one member of staff we saw on reception.
Disliked: Nothing. It is very small and dingy as you walk in to reception and the room was unclean, dated, the mattress had what looked like faeces stains on it along with a few other dirty stains and hairs and didn’t fit the bed with a big gap at the bottom. No air conditioning though there was a fan that sounded like a helicopter. The windows are mouldy around the frame and the window ledge was detachable.

It’s a very basic hotel....

Liked: Perfect Location. Easy to find from Paddington Station, short walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Lots of good restaurants around and a few decent pubs too.
Disliked: It’s not the cleanest hotel in the world, the shower handles need a bit of a proper scrub and it could do with a bit of a freshen up. But we only needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours in the night. If your planning on spending a lot of time inside I would consider going elsewhere but if your outside all day and night and just want somewhere basic to sleep I would recommend it.
