Artto Hotel

We arrived unexpectedly early but were immediately looked after and taken to a vacant room. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, but we felt the windows, paintwork and decor could do with a freshen up. However, that apart, the room was well equipped and comfortable. We will certainly return next time we're in Glasgow (and perhaps ask for a room away from the street).

Liked: Staff amazingly friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Decor in room needed sprucing up.

Disliked: In the room not a single light switch worked and bathroom was not up to standard with cleanliness

Disliked: The fact I have blood clots on my lungs and a bad heart.I struggled very badly o the stairs due to the lift being BROKEN FOR THE 7 DAYS WE WETE THERE a couple of days I could struggl but a hole week was far to much I had yo go STRIGHT to bed when I got on the room to try a d bring my blood pressure down a d to get a breathe it was very scary a d I wouldn't go out as much as I knew I had the stairs to dace when I got back spoiled my hole time in Glasgow I am a Glasgow borne lady and stay I this hotel a few times,but unfortunately never again I can't for my health's sake stay here again just in case the lift broke down again, very ,very bad customer service..And the facet I got told the week before it was broken really bad...We couldn't get booked up sny where else or we would have..Staff were great especially the lovely ar tender that took our cases to our rooms as there was no way we could possibly have done it...And for that reason I rill not recommend or ever e back in the Hotel...

Gig stay

Liked: The location was great. The reception area was nice, and we did get into our room early, at no extra cost. We were in twin room. Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet, as we were at the back.
Disliked: Hotel rooms are a bit tired. Grouting in bathroom wasn't white. Toilet seat was squint. One of the cups were cracked all the way down, which we did not noticed until it leaked. Carpets worn. Bedding had a couple of marks. Only noticed the next day. Not a great outlook from window.

Convenient

Liked: Friendly staff and good location to catch the train.
Disliked: Very noisy as the hotel is on a main street for buses and taxies. The windows aren't sound proof at all so if your room is facing the main road, you will have the noise for sure. There is a live music venue on the other side of the road which is very loud.

Very Clean

Liked: Very good location, bed very comfy, very clean
Disliked: The noise from pub across the street was very loud but stopped about 11, street traffic with buses did make the building shake a bit but still managed to sleep ok, could be done with new carpets in rooms
