Perfect in all the ways...

Liked: I never stay in a hotel when I am in NY for pleasure, but I wanted to treat my children to a nice hotel centrally located. The hotel was everything I wanted it to be: perfect location to all the main activities we had planned, literally the subway at your doorstep, the beds were almost TOO comfortable and the rooms clean. Staff was always friendly. The only small criticism is that the hotel could use a bit of a refresh: The furniture is quite dated and the carpet looks very old, but everything else was perfect. No city views, but it is located in a very dense part of the Financial District. All in all, we were so happy to have a clean, comfortable and friendly safe place to rest on hot 38C days!
Disliked: Furniture and carpet dated.

A Great Place to Launch...

Liked: The room was comfortable, and the hotel is well-located. We used the subway to get around, and the station is conveniently located right across the street.

Liked: Superb location; nice hotel, clean room and facilities; great bed and mattress; friendly staff; Coffee/tea/water being refilled every day, without a reminder :)
Disliked: The room was a bit small, but that's not a big problem, as long as one is not spending much time inside the room

Great location, excellent service, lovely...

Liked: It was beautiful! Everything was really nice. The staff really went above and beyond. Daniel, the concierge went above and beyond to give us some excellent recommendations. Great location.
Disliked: The room was a little small but it was fine for just two of us.

I would recommend the Artezan...

Liked: The staff were exceptionally hospitable, especially Daniel who learned each of our names and greeted us personally each time he saw us. The location was fantastic - safe, clean, close to subways and a number of attractions.
Disliked: It was a bit pricey but given the location and quality, it was well worth the price.
