Very good

Decent Hotel but with much...

Liked: Very helpful and friendly reception staff who accommodated my arrival 20 minutes before the check-in deadline, bed was comfy, nice hot shower, ok breakfast and a good pint. Nothing flash for a single person stay and very reasonable for the price and location (which is stunning)
Disliked: The hotel whilst acceptable could do with a refurbishment and improvement to sound proofing, I could heard a fellow noisy guest above me quite easily, some of the furniture and fixtures were tatty with questionable stains on some of the bedding

Acceptable.

Disliked: A little grotty. Not that clean. Needs decorating. Needs love. Staff mostly friendly. Location excellent.

Arrochar - you did not...

Liked: Location of Arrochar Hotel was amazing, overlooking Loch Long and the surrounding hillside. The room was ok, enough room for the two of us and the dog. The room included coffee and tea making facilities too. The evening meal was good and quickly served to us. Breakfast was very very good, buffet style so could go up as often as you wanted to. We had to sit in the bar area as the restaurant does not allow dogs in there, which was fine.
Disliked: However, the hotel was very, very warm to the point it was uncomfortable at times. The shower in the room consistently dripped into the tray, but did not disturb us. As it was very very warm we had the window open which meant it was noisy during the night as it is a very busy road behind the hotel.

Was cheap but quality below...

Liked: Location handy
Disliked: Handles on doors filthy, Floor creaky, outdoor noise-we were placed next to access to cellars. Room small, limited space.

ok place but beware, you...

Liked: it’s cheap, staff are good and friendly, location was good. If you need a bed for a night then this hotel is reasonable for the price.
Disliked: decor is run down and BADLY needs refurbished, hence price is low. I personally detest dogs in the hotel and there were quite a number of dogs around. hotel is smelling of mould and dog and some kinda bleach which is used to mask the smell. Breakfast was not good at all but only £10 so can’t complain.
