Arbor Inn Monterey

A fabulous affordable place to...

Liked: A spacious quiet unit with a comfortable bed king size bed. All facilities including microwave, fridge, coffee maker,tv, and a fireplace! The managers are extremely helpful suggesting places to go and we appreciated the upgrade to a king size room as we were staying longer. A very affordable inn in an excellent location within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, old Monterey buildings and down town Monterey. An 8 minute drive to Cannery Row. Plenty of free off street parking.We have already recommended The Arbor Inn to friends in Canada, the US of A and New Zealand.
Disliked: A wider, heavier curtain on the door side window would help block out the verandah security light.

Pleasant one day overnight stay

Liked: The lady at front desk was very courteous. She stayed back until 10:0 PM for us to do late check-in. Easy check-in & Check-out process. Enough car parking lots. Room was clean. Luckily got the room in the ground floor for us to move in with luggage without much effort. Overall the stay was good.
Disliked: Nothing in specific

Liked: Arbor Inn turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It has a cozy charm —think classic comfort rather than flashy amenities. My room was wrll appointed and clean. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful vibe of the property, making it perfect for relaxation after a long day. The team managing the place was genuinely warm, always ready for assistance. Arbor Inn offers sincere hospitality you rarely find these days. If you're looking for a comfortable stay, this place is a hidden gem

Exceptional

Liked: I'm traveling with my 86 year old mother and the gentleman at the desk, shifted our room to a first floor room so mom wouldn't have to go up stairs. I appreciate that. The room was nice, large and clean. Staff was great.
Disliked: No continental breakfast.

The rooms were very spacious...

Liked: The upper level rooms had amazing vaulted ceilings that made the room feel so open and spacious.
Disliked: The towels - they were small / skimpy and they did not have enough in the room and did not want to give out more.

Worst budget motel in town.

Disliked: The office staff is rude, argumentative, defensive. Horrible experience at both check in and check out.
