Good
Liked: Check in smooth and room ok with nice bathroom. Offer of fresh milk when we asked for extras just before retiring was a lovely touch. Bar and food was good.
Disliked: Room was very warm, and the use of a heavy-weight duvet in our summer was not ideal.Would score the place higher if management undertook regular room checks. I had to tighten screw on shower door to get it to close, and it wasnt possible to close bathroom door as it caught on frame or floor and we simply couldnt shut it.Tip for improving room facilities, especially as the built in wardrobe so shallow, please provide some coat hooks in the bedroom to allow for rain-soaked coats to be hung up.

Mainly very good
Liked: Nice room apart from the loose and chipped toilet seat.Good location for visiting relatives in Alverstoke.
Disliked: Breakfast on Saturday morning was bad. I should have sent my scrambled eggs back as they were totally overcooked. First time I have had to use a spoon to chase them round the plate. We ate out after that.

I would return again. Great...
Liked: We travelled by train, car and water! Good parking, hotel by the sea, lovely attractive street. Friendly staff. Character property. Yea as biscuits in room. Clean towels. Quiet place
Disliked: I am celiac and I wished at breakfast for my five day stay that there had been an all of gluten-free corn flakes brought out for me or gf porridge offered as an option. And/or something like bananas, nuts, tinned peaches (cheap) tp go with my daily yoghurt. Over five days I got bored of egg and gf toast. Basic gf toast is not very nice. Maybe an upgrade to a better brand and kept in the freeer as cooked from frozen for guests. Some gf biscuits in the room or a little few chocolates or sketching wpuld have been nice too. Otherwise no complaints. The gf evening menu was great and my food lovey. At breakfast I think a little bowl to put used tea bags in woyld be good, as well as a pot of tea spoons for those who want a yoghurt. Little bowl of dried fruit like raisins would probably be good too.
