Located on the Seafront opposite Brighton's famous Palace Pier the Amsterdam Hotel Brighton offers award-winning accommodations and free Wi-Fi. The Hotel has a selection of large recently decorated rooms to suit all budgets. All rooms have an en-suite walk-in shower room a flat-screen TV with Freeview digital channels and tea and coffee making facilities. Some rooms have stunning views over Brighton's famous pier the beach and the seafront. In our Center Stage Bar you can enjoy Cabaret and other shows most of the week and especially on weekends along with a wide range of beers wines & spirits. Looking out to sea the bar has a large outdoor terrace a big-screen music video system and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is a 2-minute walk to an array of Restaurants and Bars. The Brighton Conference Center is a 10-minute walk away. A resident street parking voucher can be purchased on check-in for the Zone C residence parking area.

Great location good for solo...

Liked: Location was brilliant, under 20 minute walk down the promenade and you’re right in all the action. Great spot.
Disliked: Only 3 bathrooms and 2 were out of order for some of the time I was there. Not the best situation but it’s fine. Just don’t go in needing a hot shower lol!

Lack of customer service or...

Liked: The room was nice and clean.
Disliked: We had paid for a Seaview, but at no point did anyone tell us it was directly above a bar,which was playing bingo and karaoke.This was quite loud. If we had known, we would have asked for one away from the front. We spoke to the manager, who did not apologise and infact was incredibly rude. He said you are 3 floors up. I said there is one floor between us and the bar, we are not in a high rise. He said this is a party town madam this is what we expect. I said I could see you don't take customer care very seriously, and he laughed out loud at me! We them told him that the ceiling fan was not working( it was a very warm weekend). He replied it had never worked. That is why you have a small fan in your room. My husband said that there was not a small fan available. Oh, he said. We then said, when we came down for breakfast- that was advertised.We asked the young man at the reception where we needed to go. He looked up from his phone and said yeah not doing today. We went somewhere else and had a very nice breakfast. It was just a shame we couldn't have the one that was advertised in our room and on the website and booking.com. I have never been to a hotel where there has been a complete disregard for the customer, and to be laughed at by the so called manager was incredibly offensive. He told us to check out if we were unhappy,however, we were going to a wedding, so we did not have the time to do this.which I greatly regret. We paid £257 for 2 nights, and I would expect a certain level of common courtesy, let alone customer service!

Disappointed

Liked: The Sea view
Disliked: Room was grubby. Asked for an extra pillow - wasn't provided. No breakfast on offer despite being told by reception on both days that breakfast was from 8am. A very aggressive cleaner kicked us out the bar area when looking for breakfast. Tap broken, shower broken, phone broken. Definitely not worth the price ...rooms should be half the price advertised or just pay the extra and stay at the Grand!!! Avoid !!!!

Never ever again

Liked: Room was okay and I suppose ordinarily a sea facing room would be ideal
Disliked: Unfortunately the hotel is directly above a cocktail bar. The noise was absolutely unbearable and went on, on a Monday night, until 12:30am. Could not wait to leave
