The Spotlight on Americana Inn

Affordable Comfort in the Heart of Midtown Manhattan

Modern, no-frills, and centrally located, Americana Inn is a compact and convenient hotel just steps from Times Square and some of NYC’s most iconic music venues. With clean rooms, essential amenities, and a location that makes city travel a breeze, it's a smart base for music fans who want to stay close to the action without breaking the bank.
Whether you're catching a show at Madison Square Garden or exploring the nightlife of Hell’s Kitchen, this hotel puts you in the middle of it all.

Why Concert-goers love it

Americana Inn is all about convenience. Located just a few blocks from major subway lines and within walking distance of venues like MSG and Bryant Park, getting to and from a concert is quick and easy. The 24-hour front desk and flexible check-out at 12:00 PM mean you can sleep in after a late show. While it’s in the heart of Midtown, many guests report surprisingly quiet nights due to good soundproofing and interior-facing rooms.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want to save on lodging and spend more on shows
  • Solo travelers checking a legendary band off the bucket list
  • Couples looking for a no-fuss weekend getaway
  • Fans who want a peaceful place to crash post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting a prime city location

Food and Drink Options

  • Vending machines available 24/7 for late-night snacks and drinks
  • Shared kitchen on-site for guests who prefer to prep their own meals
  • Surrounded by walkable dining spots from late-night pizza to trendy noodle bars
  • No breakfast on-site, but plenty of nearby cafés open late and early

Nightlife Options

  • Just blocks from Times Square bars and theater district lounges
  • Quick walk to Hell’s Kitchen for local pubs and live music joints
  • Hotel itself is quiet, perfect if you want to recharge after a night out

What People Say

Guests love the location—it’s central, walkable, and near public transport. Reviews often highlight the cleanliness, friendly staff, and good value for the price. Many say it’s a “great crash pad” for concert nights, especially for those who appreciate simplicity and convenience.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side, and there's no private bathroom in some units—it’s a shared-bathroom setup for many. There’s also no on-site bar or restaurant, so it’s more of a place to rest than to hang out. But for the price and location, most travelers say it's a solid deal.

The Bottom Line

If you're going to NYC for the music and need an affordable, well-located place to rest, Americana Inn hits all the right notes.

My reservation called for 2 double beds-and a private bathroom for 2 nights. When I checked in I had a single bed for 3 people and no bathroom! Dan the front desk manager was of absolutely NO HELP! The person in the evening was nicer. He helped us, after paying an extra $100.00 and got us 3 single beds with a shared bathroom. Room was on the 2nd floor - so noisy from the street! Then Dan in the morning, 7 a.m. to be exact, woke us up telling us that we had to check out because his customers were there to checkin, at 7a.m.! Check out is 12 noon! So so inconsiderate! Never will I stay again or recommend this place. Service from the staff was indifferent and non caring. Never, never, never! We found a 4 star hotel for the same price and moved after 1 night of a horrific stay!

Liked: Nothing!
Disliked: The staff Dan, front desk manager, woke us up at 7 a.m. knocking on oir door! He told us that the new guests were there and that the hotel needed our room! Check out was 12 noon! Waking us up was TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR!

In garment district, 5 blocks from Empire State building; easy walk to Broadway; good deli just across the street.

Liked: Cheap.
Disliked: Very warm - no control in room of heat; shared bathroom down hall.

An absolute paradise ❤️

Liked: The Wayfinder Hotel in Hawaii is an absolute paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the lush tropical surroundings, and the property's design perfectly complements its natural beauty. The accommodations are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, providing a true sense of relaxation. What truly sets the Wayfinder Hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest's needs are met, and their warm hospitality is a reflection of the Aloha spirit. Whether it's the helpful concierge, the friendly housekeeping team, or the attentive restaurant staff, everyone contributes to a top-tier experience. The hotel's amenities are equally impressive, with a stunning pool area, delicious on-site dining options, and a fantastic location that offers easy access to the island's attractions. Our stay at the Wayfinder Hotel was an absolute dream, and we can't wait to return to this slice of Hawaiian paradise. It's the perfect blend of luxury, nature, and the true spirit of hospitality!!!!
Disliked: All perfect!!!!!

Loved the Hotel they relocated us to.

Disliked: We were not able to stay there. Was notified 3 days prior to our arrival they were SHUT DOWN due to housing immigrants! Will NOT EVER book that hotel again. They did make arrangements for us to stay at their sister hotel around the corner. Was a much needed upgrade.
