Ok for a head down...
Liked: Good location in the CDB, just across the road from the only train line serving Houston. Staff are very nice and friendly.
Disliked: Lack of food options. The CBD is a ghost town at the weekend. There is a small food selection for snacks etc, and 2/3 dishes at the bar (wings, fries)

Liked: The location of the property, the cleanliness, the friendly staff
Disliked: How modern it was, how small the rooms were, how expensive it was, shower only, no bath.

Disliked: did not eat breakfast, have never stayed at an Aloft-while clean and met needed, I found the "modern" interior to be "stark"-not enough lighting and not too comfortable

Falls short. And I would...
Liked: The bed and bathroom. The ?Original? breakfast item was tasty and coffee ok.
Disliked: The barman served my vodka martini and when I was ready to pay he announced that he could not charge to my room account, nor could he take a card payment. I?ve heard such stupidity in a hotel bar. I don?t carry cash, but there is a Bank of America opposite the hotel so I got some cash on our way back so I could have a nightcap drink before bed. Good job I did, when I went to the bar he told me again he could only take cash. Somehow my first drink did get onto my room folio ok though. Note: The drinks receipt had a service charge added already ($1.80 on one drink) and then a space for a gratuity. In the morning, the reception lady told us breakfast wasn?t included in our room rate. Seriously. They wanted to charge $16 for two poached eggs with a few small pieces of bacon, about 20 fries, some cheese sauce. Bagel extra. No butter out anywhere (found in fridge eventually after other confused guests found it) The trash can flaps at breakfast are so small that when I tried to clean our table my breakfast cup fell back and landed on the floor, splashing sauce onto new sneakers. Thanks Aloft. Won?t be coming here again!!! And Booking.com, obviously it?s either on you or them to sort out what is or is not in a room rate (about $200 for one night plus the car parking fee is extortionate for this experience) Attaching receipt for breakfast which the receptionist did agree to discount 100% once I went over and started looking for my booking confirmation. The evening receptionist was a pleasant lady and helpful. But not enough to make up for the rest of the experience here. Oh, and they?ve charged me $50 for something. I see the terms and conditions show that and I?ll get it back. Still, just another unpleasant thing to do. Decided to stay another night in Houston, but booked via Expedia instead.

Liked: Nothing really.
Disliked: The staff wasn?t friendly and the valet was lazy and didn?t assist. I had to park my own vehicle.

Liked: The room was nice. The staff was nice.
Disliked: I don?t think it was worth what we paid. Total was $180 plus a 40% deposit, it?s really worth $80-$100 at the most. No in door pool and need better food selection.

Liked: Easy check in. The room was great and shower area was awesome!
Disliked: A little further away but just a little extra walking to get to the bars and restaurants on Main Street.
